Who are Christians Against Poverty?

CAP is a charity, set up in 1996 by a man named John Kirkby. He felt called by God to sacrifice his career in finance and use his skills instead to help advise and empower people weighed down by debt and struggling.

As a charity, they have grown hugely since then, and now offer various different support systems to help individuals and families with financial difficulties, empowering them with practical knowledge on how to live on a low income, and supporting those who are stepping back into the world of work.

CAP works with churches to train them to be able to run a Money Management course so that they can help their local communities.
