How are we funded?

At Winslow Christian Fellowship, we believe that transparency is important where finances are concerned. The wider church has often come under criticism for being interested only in money. So, how does WCF manage money?

Like any organisation, we have running expenses, such as:

hiring the space where we meet, stocking up on office supplies, resources for community events and outreach, paying fees to the organisations that support us, maintenance of the church property, paying the pastor, funding the ministries of the church and supporting other overseas ministries.

In order to pay for the above, we don't receive funding from the government or from larger denomination or group of churches; we rely on the generous and sacrificial giving of our members.

Does the church own property?

We don't have a church building, however, the members of the church generously purchased a residential house on Winslow High Street in which the pastor previously lived. This is now in need of considerable maintenance, and the pastor no longer lives there. We have grand visions to convert this property into a community focused, church centre, subject to the relevant permissions etc. We are so excited to see where God will take this idea, and we would like you to be too! We plan to document the highs and lows of this journey, so that there is complete transparency to both our church members and the local community.
